Pop Mart Display Case for the Twinklu Fairy Tale Series: $33.90 to $90.40, and the 15×15×20cm Small Footprint That Fits Where a 25cm Cube Won't
Yesterday morning a customer DM'd us: "I have a small bookshelf, only 19cm deep. Every display case on the market starts at 25cm wide. Can you actually do 15? And can it still hold the ring light?" She sent a photo of two cookbooks sandwiching the spot she had in mind. We pulled a 3mm sheet off the rack, walked to the cutting table, and got to work. What came back four days later is the smallest mirror acrylic case in our 60-box catalog — a 15×15×20cm Pop Mart Twinklu Fairy Tale display case. This is the story of that box, told from the factory floor.
The 15-wide cut is the kind of thing a customer asks for once a month. Most factories tell you it can't be done — the laser will warp a thin sheet, the table saw needs a 25cm minimum, and acrylic thinner than 3mm turns milky in the corners. We worked around both: the table saw at a slower feed rate, the corners hand-deburred after the cut. The 3mm sheet is the same one we run on the 25cm and 30cm cases — there's no thinner option on our line, because 3mm holds the figure, the slide door, and the ring light without flex. Edges polished by hand, no burrs to catch a finger. The 98% transparency reads the same under daylight or under the LED ring.
Four configurations, no add-ons. The No Background box at $33.90 is the entry — same 3mm acrylic, same 2cm brushed black base, same free mirror floor sheet, just no printed backdrop and no light. The With Background box at $45.20 adds the UV-printed Twinklu Fairy Tale backdrop (red panel, an arched window, a wreath, a decorated tree). The Ring Light + With Background at $67.80 adds a 5V LED ring under the top cap and a slide-open door. The Solid Wood Ring Light + With Background at $90.40 swaps the 10mm PVC top & bottom for 12mm natural wood, edge-banded, pre-drilled, milled in our shop. We make them in-house — no middleman in the chain — so the $33.90 box and the $90.40 box run the same acrylic sheet. The factory price holds up across the four.
Twinklu is the smallest of our 9 standard footprints. Cute Puppy at 20×20×20, Zsiga at 20×20×25, Skyward at 25×25×20, Animal Kingdom at 20×20×30, Stitch at 30×20×30, Ducky at 25×25×35, the largest at 30×30×40. Twinklu at 15×15×20 is the only one that fits between two cookbooks on a 19cm shelf — we test-fit every size in the cutting room before it ships, and on this one the brushed black base raises above the shelf line by 2cm so the wood doesn't trap the case.
The slide door is a single acrylic panel that parks on the right rail. Pull it back, drop the figure in, slide it shut. The 10mm PVC top & bottom houses a 5V LED ring; the 12mm solid wood option runs the same LED ring with the wood in place of the foam board. The $67.80 and $90.40 versions have a DC pass-through on the back panel, so you can daisy-chain several cases and turn them all on with one switch — we tested it in-house on a 5-pack stack and the cord runs out the back of the bottom case, not over the front.
A few real-shop notes. At 30% brightness the ring light doesn't blow out the red UV panel — the printed wreath stays readable. On a 60cm-wide bookshelf, four Twinklu cases sit side by side with no gap. The mirror floor extends the white tutu and red dress; at 30cm viewing distance the figure reads as taller than 18cm. The solid wood top is 480g; the standard PVC top is 360g — both ship in a single white mailer with a foam insert. The snap-fit connectors click audibly on assembly, no glue, no smell, you can re-pack the case flat in 2 minutes. The brushed black base has a 2cm rise — your shelf line shows under the case, not in front of it.
Custom & UV Backgrounds
Custom is free, including size. The four price tiers are for features (No BG / With BG / Ring Light + BG / Solid Wood Ring Light + BG), not for dimensions — a 16cm or 18cm box costs the same as the 15cm box, as long as the dimensions don't change which sheet we cut from. Tell us the figure's max length × width × height and add 3cm per horizontal side and 5cm on top for finger clearance, and we'll quote from the same ladder.
The UV background is 5-color UV-printed on a 0.6mm rigid panel, baked at 80°C. The default is the Twinklu Fairy Tale red interior with wreath + arched window + decorated tree. If you want a different backdrop — your own photo, a wallpaper, a print you have — send a 3000×4000px file (JPG / PNG / PDF), 3-4 business days turnaround. Below 3000px the wreath gets pixelated under the LED. (If you're not sure whether to go with the default UV or a custom file, we mock up both for free — pick the one your shelf can read from 50cm.)
The 12mm solid wood option is a Scoparius upgrade. We mill the wood in-house, edge-band it, and ship it pre-drilled — we do NOT buy the wood top from a third party. For the Twinklu specifically the wood-PVC weight difference is small (480g vs 360g) but the wood reads as furniture and the PVC as a display piece. Pick the one that matches the room.
